The prints presented on this site have been created
from my photographs of landscape scenes and details of nature.
Sometimes human-made elements will appear, too, but mostly these
prints are a celebration of nature as I find and visually
interpret it. All image components in these prints are photographic,
whether abstracted or photographically presented.
The images are presented in two ways. The first
is based on my concept of an image within an image. This started
as a way to look at a scene in more than one way — to see
a detail and the larger scene
to understand the context of the detail. The concept grew from
there with variations as the mood struck.
The second approach is prints of a more traditional single image.
My photo journeys have focused on Northern California
and Hawaii, but they include a few other places, too. As I have
a special connection to Hawaii, you will find that category expanding
greatly over time. This connection is explained in the Vintage
Hawaii Gallery on this site.
