The cabin at Jackass Hill where Mark Twain lived as a guest from December 1864 to March 1865. It is said that here is where he heard a story about a jumping frog at a saloon in nearby Angles Camp and was inspired to write his famous story The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. The photo was shot in May 1931.
