These Death Valley images represent two trips made during Oct and Dec of 1929. The Oct trip was to Leadfield. The Dec trip appears to have gone to both Chloride and Leadfield, but the exact route has not been established.

TITUS CANYON ROAD #1 This appears to be Titus Canyon Road before reaching Leadfield since these are rather open hills. Titus Canyon Road is an alternative to taking Chloride Cliffs Road to Death Valley. PURCHASE INFO HERE

TITUS CANYON ROAD #4 Clearly this is down in the steep part of Titus Road (now Leadville Rd. below Leadville according to Google Earth.) PURCHASE INFO HERE
ALMOST TO DEATH VALLEY Given the openess here, this must be down on the aluvial fan below the steep canyon but before Death Valley. PURCHASE INFO HERE
CHLORIDE CLIFF ROAD #1 This photo starts the Dec trip. The view looks to be of Death Valley presumably from somewhere on Chloride Cliff Road. PURCHASE INFO HERE
STONE SHACK This photo has been identified as the Chloride Cliff Road route to Death Valley. PURCHASE INFO HERE
ABANDONED SHACKS The old time miners were pretty hardcore to live in this environment. PURCHASE INFO HERE
CHOW TIME Pretty efficient looking campmobile. Can't tell if this is in Death Valley or in the lower mountains before getting into the valley. PURCHASE INFO HERE
TAXES ARE PAID! The sign says, "Tax is paid on this property so leave it alone." Small wonder the tax man even knew this place existed! PURCHASE INFO HERE
